Calorie Calculator
Calculate your daily calorie needs to maintain, lose, or gain weight based on your personal details and activity level.
Calculator implementation coming soon. This calculator is being developed and will be available shortly.
This calculator estimates your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, considered the most accurate formula for most people.
How It Works
Mifflin-St Jeor Equation
TDEE = BMR × Activity MultiplierTotal Daily Energy Expenditure equals Basal Metabolic Rate multiplied by activity level.
BMR for men: (10 × weight in kg) + (6.25 × height in cm) - (5 × age) + 5
BMR for women: (10 × weight in kg) + (6.25 × height in cm) - (5 × age) - 161
TDEE is calculated by multiplying BMR by your activity level
Important Notes:
- •This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, considered most accurate for most people
- •Activity multipliers: Sedentary (1.2), Light (1.375), Moderate (1.55), Active (1.725), Very Active (1.9)
- •Individual variations in metabolism are not accounted for
Worked Example
A 30-year-old woman, 68 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with moderate activity.
Inputs:
- gender:No
- age:30
- height:68
- weight:150
- activity Level:moderate
Result:
Her BMR is approximately 1,488 calories. With moderate activity, her TDEE is approximately 2,306 calories per day.
